THE PIN: In the Tales of the Jedi, we saw Ahsoka grow and mature between the stun blasts of friends and soldiers. The shape of those blasts echo here to represent ripples of change, each containing different eras of the Jedi Temple as experienced by Ahsoka: dawn and a bright beginning, stars of exploration and adventure (the same stars pictured in Anakin’s window), and the fires of destruction. Though more ripples might have been included, we deliberately designed these to call to mind a Trinity knot…an inseparable bond of three. The Mentor, The Master, and the Padawan.

At the bottom of the window stand the crystal-like buildings of Christophsis, the planet where Ahsoka first met Anakin. Through their resemblance to kyber, we’ve pictured the transformation of Ahsoka’s sabers from green to blue. Meanwhile a garland of marigolds hangs above the mountains and forests of Shili. Owing to their resemblance to the sun, marigolds are said to represent fire, strength, and light, which might explain why in ancient times, the flowers were strung above doorways to keep out evil.

THE TRIPTYCH WINDOWS SERIES: A triptych is a piece of art that is divided into three, fairly common among old stained glass installations. The goal with this series is to create enough pins of beloved SW characters for people to build their own triptych in our custom frame.
