THE PIN: The theme of Hera's window is family. While day lilies can symbolize love and courage, the yellow day lily specifically represents motherhood (and in some cultures, even more specifically, the sacrifice a mother makes for her children). The braces of Hera's window are a wooden kalikori, each section engraved with a symbol for each member of her family crew: the holocron-shaped triangle with Ezra's jacket symbol, the block with Zeb's stripes, Chopper's head, Sabine's starbird...and at the top, Kanan's mask, mirroring how Hera's symbol fits into Kanan's own window. The Ghost is the center hinge of the kalikori, its flames also mirroring those from Kanan's window. The planet in the background is Hera's homeplanet of Ryloth, haloed by light and hope.
THE SERIES: A triptych is a piece of art that is divided into three, fairly common among old stained glass installations. The goal with this series is to create enough pins of beloved SW characters for people to build their own triptych in a custom frame resembling a stone wall we hope to fund. These 5" pin-on-pins will have the character opaque in the foreground while the window behind will mainly be transparent/stained glass, expect for smaller areas.
